Wilman's formula is correct and beautiful, please allow me to add a small footnote for its implementation. just be careful that 八折 means 100% - 80% = 20% off, not 100% - 8% = 92% off and by the same reason 八折半 means 100% - 85% = 15% off. the chinese 折 talk was invented before the european percentage talk and it was 10 (fingers) based. 64折 would have been odd in the old days. as usual, the latter (percentage concept) prevailed. thank you, Wilman, for the conversion formula.
