Asker: This article is about travelling in Qinghai. If you descend from the Tibetan Plateau, then you are going to Gansu or further east. Apparently this is not the case.
Asker: Cathy, Xining is located at the eastern reach of Qinghai, and it is the first stop on travellers road to the heartland of the province. Mostly, the elevation is rising till Tongula mountain pass where Qinghai borders Tibet.
