Chinese to English translations [PRO] Agriculture | | Chinese term or phrase: 劳动力 | 日本有大量的兼业农户,全日制农场只占14%,平均起来一个农场还不到一个劳动力;荷兰则以专业化的农场为主,平均每个农场有两个左右的劳动力.
My current translation is "worker", but I am not really comfortable with that. Is there a better term? |
| | | labour unit | Explanation: Google.
see agricultural production statistics, etc.
I do not have the definition of labour unit, but it must be defined somewhere. It should mean a full-time worker as defined for that industry.
See other professions such as teaching 1 FEU = full time equivalent unit = 1 full time person.

| Grading comment Google 'farm' and 'labour unit'.
One example:
one labor unit is the equivalent of an adult male potentially available full time for field labor
