2) Without more context we really can't get it. Dividing the phrase into three parts as you have there gives us no new information. Afraid you're on your own with this one.

这个material特指用在表面的材料，像玻璃幕墙一类，而不是统称construction material...不是指钢筋混凝土，用在支撑结构上的材料

我还搞不清楚建筑物表面使用的材料为什么不是construction material。用来做建筑物的任何一部分的就是construction material吧。

物質性表現...按照作者原本的意思,是expression of materiality....这个materiality 是固定用法。

‘物質性表現‘, 这里是和‘非物质性表现‘相对的。the techniques of materiality expressions of materials....是我原来的译法，觉得拗口。。。。。using construction materials。。。。不是这个意思，。。。。这里说的是对材料的特性的表现手法。。。也不是construction material....是指建筑物表面使用的材料。。。sorry! very confusing!!

说实话你的英文译法是卡不懂的，所以说不上什么错没错。我还没弄明白你这个名词组时说一种手法还是材料的一个特性。是 材料的（物质性表现手法）还是 （材料的物质性表现）手法？
第一个可以翻译为 techniques of material expression for particular construction materials; 第二种理解可以翻译为 the technique of material expression using construction materials。给个语境可能会更清楚！
