So it's probably "they are here" or "here they are."

I'm a native English speaker. "Here are they" is NEVER used. If answerer is holding the bottles: "Here they are."

Angus: yes, there are sentences that contain "...here are they..." as proven by your googling/web searches. I'm just asking you to please find me a situation where you can answer someone's question with "Here are they." You're taking the phrase out of context just to argue with me and not helping biomt at all. Good day.

agree  Angus Woo: The reason why I agreed with you is because I think you were right in saying that given the context "here are they" is inappropriate. But I disagreed when you went further by saying that it was grammatically incorrect. That's all. Please no offence.

  -> I should have said use it in context. The SPECIFIC phrase "Here are they," -one sentence, 3 words- is wrong. Nice, Taming of the Shrew. Shakespeare isn't grammatically correct all the time.

Explanation:
To answer your questions:
1) Here they are.
2) Here you are.
"Here are they" in this context should be ruled out definitely.

But you do put "here" to begin a sentence so as to draw attention to someone or something, e.g. "here comes the taxi."

Therefore, a construction like "Here are they that..." is for the purpose of emphasis. More grammatically, it is the use of inversion, which is found mainly in writing.

  -> So why neutral? I am saying this construction is grammatically correct, right? It certainly sounds fine to me.
