to hc: Thanks for explaining! However if you look at the Merriam-Webster definition 2b (from my link below), attendance = the number of times a person attends. Still, I have no qualms about including "individual" if you want to be really clear.

To vikki: I found your answer after I pressed the submit button, however. Before submitting my answer, I realized that "six attendances" might not convey the exact meaning, that is why I finalized my answer as “individual attendances”, to exclude the possibility that each attendance might include more than one person, such as a group of people as one attendance.
Yet I agree with you on the use of “attendances”. Thanks!

Actiually, I agree with Michael's "delegates" for "人次". "delegates" imply to people who would be actively taking part in the conference, but "participants" or "participation" can be anyone who is in the meeting.

It's highly possible the speaker produced a slip of tongue here. Probably what he really meant to say was **6 人**。

I agree with Jason's definition, but have never seen 人次 used for referring to such a small number. Usually in the hundreds/thousands etc.
