Most of these cases occur when the user types in a sequence of consonants only to pop out a very common phrase embedded in the input system (in this case, the Pinyin input method.)
For example, when typing 数据量的扩大 (the expansion of data volume), one may type:
sjl de kuoda,
where sjl stands for shujuliang and the input method could "predict" what the user actually wants: 数据量, 三角恋, 守纪律, etc. (lol)
However, a mishit from s to x, considering their adjacent positions, would confuse the input system and result in an odd Chinese name.
