Chinese to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Engineering (general)
Chinese term or phrase:匝线管
"With the explosion, the metal tube expands, short-circuiting the ??? of the solenoid one by one"
This is regarding an explosive magnetic generator of frequency.
To make it clearer, I would say, one solenoid may consist several coils, and a coil usually many turns. Loop could be possible, but I prefer to take coil in this case because loop stresses more about the circuit but not the 匝线管 which stresses in Chinese.
I can see that your are very serious and meticulous with your question, however the biggest problem is that you have not exactly understoody what you need to translate. Every 匝线管 here means just coil which usually consists many turns, and which can be
匝 is often translated as "turn", as in:
匝数 number of turns; number of windings
Another article regarding this same process refers to an an armature expanding and short-circuiting each 匝线管 of the winding (绕组), which is a coil of wire wound around the armature. So I'm thinking this should probably be translated as "turn".
Is it annoying to others if I answer my own question? ; )

Explanation: Shortcircuit every coil of the solenoid. Just an idea, hope it's helpful.
