照我的理解，pacifist是“someone opposed to violence as a means of settling disputes”，即以反对暴力作为解决争端的手段的人，只要反对使用暴力解决争端，那么他就是和平主义者了。而“求和者”是某一争端发生了，向对方请求停止争端，求得和解、实现和平的人，比如通过求同存异（seek common points while reserving difference）的方法获得和平等等。

　　绥靖，英文当是“appeasement”，那么，“求和派”应作译作“pro-appeasement”。但通常说“peace mongers”，与“war mongers”相对。“-monger”本身就带贬义，比如“rumour-mongers”即为“专事散布流言之徒”。

　　可是，在“巴方内部以法塔赫为主的温和派，和求和派”这个语境里，恐怕上述译法都不妥。这里，应译作“peace seekers”

　　这里还有一个语境不能忽示。作者是谁？如果作者倾向于主战派，希望巴方以暴易暴，那这个“求和派”就可能是“peace mongers”。语气带蔑视成份。
