This is another clause in a model joint venture contract, having to do with requirements for providing funding for changed amounts of registered capital. The full context is:

申请增加注册资本变更登记的，向登记机关申请注册资本变更登记时，投资者应缴付不低于百分之二十的新增注册资本，其余部分可在变更登记核准之日起两年内缴足。

I find this structure very confusing. What I've come up with so far is:
" . . . the remaining portion may be funded fully within two years from the date the changed registration is in accordance with the established norms."
But this sounds very awkward. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Where an application is made for an increase in registered capital and a change of registration, the investor shall pay no less than 20 percent of the increase at the time the application is made to the registering authority for the said registration of capital and change of registration. The remainder may be paid within two years from the date on which the change of registration is approved.

"In respect of the alternation registration application for increasing the registered capital, investor(s) shall contribute no less than 20% of the increased portion of the registered capital at the time of applying for the alternation registration with the registration authority, the balance may be paid in full within two years from the date of approval of such alternation registration."

Although the phrase "注册资本变更登记" is repeated in the Chinese, it's redundant so I left it out in the English version. I tried to make the translation less wordy. I hope my suggestion is helpful to you.
