Chinese to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Management | | Chinese term or phrase: 階段性任務 | I would like to know the most precise/concise translation of the term. Basically, I know that 任務 is mission, but I am at a loss as how to translate 階段性任務. I've searched the web and came across "phased mission," but that doesn't sound right. Basically, I guess I would like to be able to say something like "I have accomplished my XXXX for now" where XXXX would be the English translation of "階段性任務" like "我目前已經完成了我的階段性的任務."
I guess it's like saying I've accomplished or reached my current milestone, as opposed to accomplishing my ultimate goal.... But there's a nicer ring to it, it seems, when said in Chinese as "我完成了我的階段性任務." (Actually, in Chinese, it's more like a cop out for not being able to accomplish your ultimate goal, so you say that at least I've got part of it done....)
Thanks for the help! |
