If my memory does not fail me, plain scan is the almost same as noncontrast scan.

The initial scan was performed without a contrast medium (plain scan). To obtain the early enhanced scan, scanning was begun 30-40 s after machine-injected bolus administration of 100-120 ml of contrast medium (injection rate 2.5-3.0 ml/s).
