Chinese term or phrase: Taiwanese name translation
I am reviewing a legal document translated from Chinese (Taiwan) into English, the names have all been translated using Chinese Pinyin - I wonder whether it is ok. If not, what are the standard rules to translate Taiwanese names, both for persons and places? Could someone please provide an online reference?

Explanation:

Please try these two links:

For names:

http://www.boca.gov.tw/sp.asp?xdURL=E2C/c2102-5.asp&CtNodeID...

Then choose 威妥瑪(WG)拼音 (It's the most commonly used Pinyin in Taiwan, especially for the names on the passport.)

For addresses:

http://www.post.gov.tw/post/internet/f_searchzone/index.jsp?...

For places other than addresses, the first link should work. But I'm afraid there's no standard translation for places.

Just for your reference.
