Chinese to English translations [PRO] Poetry & Literature | | Chinese term or phrase: 覆命 | I can't figure out a good wording for this. It seems to always be used in cases where someone goes to a person that's above them i.e a priest or emperor.
Here's the context: 話說悟空一行人取得經書後便會朝覆命....
That's it. I'm assuming something along the lines of "The story goes(?) that Wukong and his team returned to _____ after obtaining the Confusion classics."
At a loss, redemption or seeking forgiveness or something are the only things that come to mind and those sound a little unlikely to be what the word is saying. Any help much appreciated! |
