Does it mean "Buddhist dieties who live very comfortably"? Yet, in my humble opinion, "comfortabe" and "Buddhist deities" don't go together. Is my translation correct? Thanks. |

I would suggest translating 自在 as free of delusion or free from worldly cares, free from restraint., instead of merely 'comfortable.' To me common usage of 自在 usually appears with 自由自在, independent, free to do as you wish, etc. The online dictionary below suggests a specifically Buddhist definition of "freedom from worldly cares." |
