Chinese to English translations [PRO] Religion | | Chinese term or phrase: 大自在的“佛道神” | 法轮功的弟子们修炼法轮功的目的就是希望通过经过短时间修炼,使自己常人肉体可以被高能量物质置换,从而摆脱地球万有引力,最终达到“圆满”状态,“白日飞升”到法轮世界,成为大自在的“佛道神”。
Does it mean "Buddhist dieties who live very comfortably"? Yet, in my humble opinion, "comfortabe" and "Buddhist deities" don't go together. Is my translation correct? Thanks. |

| | "Buddhist deities" free of delusion | Explanation: I would suggest translating 自在 as free of delusion or free from worldly cares, free from restraint., instead of merely 'comfortable.' To me common usage of 自在 usually appears with 自由自在, independent, free to do as you wish, etc. The online dictionary below suggests a specifically Buddhist definition of "freedom from worldly cares." |
