This is my own creation, so if the Chinese is wrong, please correct it!

I want to say, "Do you know who that person is?"

If this is correct, then I have understood well the following sentence:

笵琌街盾

Local time: 11:30
Everything is correct except for the typo
Explanation:
虹 should be 

笵ê琌街盾
Do you know who that person is?

whereas

笵琌街盾
Do you know who it is?

Kvasir,

You have made me very happy today, as I feel that I have now understood the hitherto unexplained grammatical structure of the second example: 笵琌街盾

There is a missing understood something in this sentence -- namely the dual use direct object of 笵 and subject of the question 琌街盾. Reconstructing the entire question as 笵⑾琌街盾where ⑾ is the missing understood something ties up all of the grammatical loose ends.

Now I am wondering how to replace that something. Is there a pronoun in Cantonese, or even Mandarin that indicates a person or people without regard to gender?
