I greatly appreciate all your help. In my opinion, there are some fatal defects with all the answers provided. 1, it's not so nice using "charitable" in the name of such an organization. 2, "Quan Zhou" is not correct enough, and the temple is named "开元寺", "大" is added to distinguish it from other small unknown temples (this is a famous one). "welfare" is more commonly used in something run by government, yet this organization is obviously launched by the temple, hence non-governmental. 3. People with some knowledge of buddist things would know the purpose of this kind of organization is normally to give a helping hand for people hurt by poverty or disaster or other sufferings, and charity itself covers this meaning too. |
