Ako je već riječ o financijama, onda je uobičajeni pojam koji se koristi za poslovne rezultate "QUARTER".
Npr.: In the first quarter of the financial year - in Quarter 1 of the financial year, koji se često puta skraćuje na "Q1" of 2007, "Q1 Financial Results" - Financijski rezultati obično se objavljuju svaka 3 mjeseca, pa imamo rezultate za First Quarter, Second Quarter, Third Quarter..., te na polugodištu s kumuliranim poslovnim rezultatima za prvih šest mjeseci...
U Europi se koristi i "semester" ali prema dostupnim izorima na Internetu, radi se uglavnom o tvrtkama izvan engleskog govornog područja ili o tvrtkama iz Kanade.
