Rečenica glasi:
Polukatovi se pojavljuju u slučajevima kada zgrada ima jedan ili više katova, a horizontalna podjela na katove nije provedena u jednoj ravnini kroz cijelu zgradu.

Bila bih zahvalna za prijevod cijele rečenice, budući da se pojavljuje i izraz da ta podjela "nije provedena u jednoj ravnini", što isto ne znam kako se to u građevinarstvu kaže.

The division into storeys was generally retained, but almost always the central part of the facade was organised with reference more to what was above and below it than to what stood on either side: in other words, it was given a vertical emphasis and thrust which was in strong contrast to the practice of horizontal division by storeys.
