creditor
Explanation:
I think that it would be useful to write this in English for other colleagues outside of Croatia.

Maybe the creditor is not 100% the linguistically appropriate word, but that is what the bank is in this case as the entity.

The question of collaterals is a complex issue. This is actually a type of collateral/security/guarantee from the debtor to guarantee the credit/loan. The loan contract and other documentation are notarised.
Insurance policy is another type of collateral that is also requested and that involves the insurance company (primarily for the possible indemnity).

I am very well aware of the fact that the word "osiguranje" is confusing to the English speakers outside of Croatia, but it has multiple meanings. The specialy area is also not easy, but I hope that this will help you to understand and clarify this issue.

insurance carrier

Explanation:
This is the term used by my US colleagues when I worked in insurance.

Carrier is used since it indicates that the insurance company carries the risk on behalf of the policyholder.

You might also use simply insurance company.

Re: Ana's comment. It is possible to use insurance in this sense in English too but is not normal.

However, it sounds from the above like it could be a case of bankassurance i.e. where banks provides an insurance-type products. To avoid confusion with an actual insurance carrier/company, one could try 'provider of insurance coverage' or 'credit-provider'.

disagree  Ana Kardum: This does not involve the insurance company, but the bank and the debtor. I know that this is difficult to translate as our system may be different... Please, do not immediately assume that 'osiguranje' as insurance as it is often a collateral.

-> Hvala. I wonder then if osiguranje could be translated as security of collateral, we say in English that the bank requires security/guarantee/collateral from the debtor (material) to guarantee the credit/loan. Naturally insurance is one of the tools...
