Normally, you would name your spouse as the primary beneficiary of insurance proceeds and retirement benefits upon your death by executing a beneficiary designation provided by the insurance company or the retirement plan administrator. You also need to name a "contingent" beneficiary. This is the person who will receive the proceeds in the event your primary beneficiary dies before you do.

Pretpostavljam da su u uvjetima osiguranja negdje navedeni nasljednici po "order of precedence" ili da se upućuje na neki zakonski propis koji regulira nasljedni red...i da se ovaj slučaj odnosi na situaciju kad sam osiguranik nije u polici imenovao, ili nije drukčije "poredao" korisnike
