"Put the assay... into a platinum crucible".... Watch the assay and when it begins to swell..".. IMO (in a translation) one could use "Promatraj sadržaj" in the second example.... this is in line with Nataša's example of assay used as a noun in the meaning of a testing sample or similar... if this is what you ask :) ... to me, the question as put is somewhat unclear....

please provide us with more context. We need to be extremely careful here. Contents can refer to the substances in the product formulation but assay is something else. Assay is a test to determinate the content of the active substance in medicinal product. HPLC is often used for this test. This method is stability indicative and reliable.
