Czech to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Accounting / balance sheet
Czech term or phrase: provozní záloha
Dear Colleagues,

I am looking for the right equivalent of the above term. This is one of the items on the balance sheet for a družstevní záložna.

I'm translating this into Russian, however my client asked me to provide him with some English equivalents (if possible), preferably in accordance with IFRS. I have an idea, but am not sure in my choice of the term, so would greatly appreciate your help!

A bit more context:

Ostatní aktiva
ostatní pohledávky-krátkodobé
poskytnuté provozní zálohy - krátkodobé

Thanks in advance,
Katya

I myself would not, of course, advise to look up terminology on the source language websites, however, some of those websites may have translations done by responsible professionals. Thus, I am going to use this answer as it does not only appear to be correct, but also renders the meaning of the Czech term in its entirety (I don't believe it's enough to just say "advances" or "advance payments"). In order to avoid any further objections, I'm welcoming you to have a look at the text at http://www.secinfo.com/dRqWm.8Tmp.r.htm
