Bila vana je betonova konstrukce, ktera krome nosne funkce plní i funkci tesnici proti prostupu vody. V tomto smyslu bila vana neni zvlastnim druhem stavby. Je to urcite usporadani spodní stavby, u nehoz se vyuziva vodonepropustnost betonu.

Explanation:
Konstrukční podzemní stěny tvoří definitivní stěny budoucího tunelu
a jsou vetknuty do skalního podloží. Po odtěžení prostoru tunelu je na dně
vybetonována rozpěrná deska s technickou chodbou. Izolace proti vodě
bude tvořena pouze vodotěsným betonem s doplňkovým opatřením pra-
covních a dilatačních spár (princip bílá vana).

future tunnel; they are keyed into the bedrock. When the tunnel space
excavation is finished, a bracing bottom slab with a technical corridor
is cast. The waterproofing will be guaranteed simply by water retai-
ning concrete plus additional treatment of day joints and expansion
joints (the White Tank principle).
