Looked up "international soft payments" on google and didnt find much
comparing a google search between "smooth" and "clean" payments, smooth seems more to refer to "without problems" and not really official. As Maria wrote, perhaps the word "clean" is not necessary and "international payment" will suffice. just so you all know, I ended up choosing "clean" payment, because it sounds more serious, I think I heard it before, and it seemed that it was used more often during a google search. "smooth" to me seems like a baby's bum and totally sounded awkward. I also have a tendency not to immediately believe what I see on some Czech website because I've seen so many bad translations during my 15 years in Prague. Like as if someone long ago guessed, and then it became a standard.
my question is, aside from the point at hand, who came up with this term in the first place? Why then can't we say "smooth payment"? The Academy of Sciences of the CR or Havel or somebody should look into this...seems utterly out of "fit", albeit perhaps an explanation exists.
trochu jsem se nechal unést, jistě, že tomu říkají zahraniční platba, nemám důvod o tom pochybovat :), ale taky hladká, a na oba výrazy je v angličtině ekvivalent...
ano, jsou to platby ze i do zahraničí, ale mohou probíhat také pouze v rámci určitého státu v zahraniční měně, což název zahraniční či mezinárodní platba moc nevystihuje, prosím viz můj druhý odkaz z GE bank, pro kterou to Karel, jak dedukuju z druhého dotazu, překládá
But Dalibor, her correct point is that these are synonymous. Look at any reference to hladka platba, it's pretty obvious. Perhaps at the time of asking the question, he did not know that.
