K Lisabonské smlouvě – což si zaslouží pár slov – já bych řekl, ta smlouva je v podstatě průměrná. Je o něco horší než smlouva z Nice a o něco lepší než ta smlouva příští. **V tomto smyslu k ní takto přistupuji i já osobně.**

Each time I look at this sentence, I'm afraid I might be missing something. I think he's saying something like: this is also how I feel about it / this is my personal approach/attitude to it (i.e. to the Treaty). But hasn't he just said what his attitude is, in the previous two sentences?

I can't quite work out what he means.

In this sense, that's also my personal approach to it.
Explanation:
I'd say this person was first considering ("bych řekl") other opions (of his/her party, experts, etc.) and then also took their sense as his/her personal approach.

you're welcome, dylan. politicians are usually very good in rhetoric in order to persuade not only the general public but also his/her self ;)

Thank you, Pavel.
Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you. This makes sense in the context of other things he's said, where he emphasises that he's not pushing his personal or party-political point of view, but representing a consensus. In this case, it seems, he goes on to say that it's also his personal approach.

Reference information:
