Czech term or phrase: fabion
Kontext: Nová expozice muzea je rozdělena do šesti stálých výstavních celků. V úvodní části uvidíme selský malovaný nábytek z poloviny 19. století a atmosféru expozice dotváří dochovaný malovaný trámový strop ukončený fabionem s malovanou římsou.

Encyklopedie říká, že fabion je:
...zaoblený nebo profilovaný přechod mezi stropem a stěnou ...
Ale jak to vyjádřit anglicky nebo je pro to nějaký odborný termín? Nemohu nic najít.

Přišla jsem na to přes němčinu: Fabion je slovo francouzského původu, které se německy řekne Deckenkehle. Zde (http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:m9f1yXMzjCoJ:www.blazej...
je jako synonymum uvedeno počeštěné francouzské slovo "vouta" (ve fr. "voute"), které etymologicky souvisí s "vault".

Podle dalšího hledání v obrázcích se však zdá, že "voute" je zkrátka klenba, ne jen ten přechod mezi stěnou a stropem.

Zdá se, že fabion může vypadat různě (http://www.castles.cz/terminology.php?pg=2&sl=f%&listpos=0&t... a podle toho lze asi volit překlad...

with painted cornice (složitější tvar) nebo fillet (jednoduchý tvar). Z češtiny to vypadá jako jednoduché zaoblení stropu směrem do ke stěně, pak nějaká malovaná římsa (ozdobný přůběžný prvek) vystupující ze zdi.

ještě bych uvažovala o "roll coving". Naznačuje se tím celkem jednoduchý tvar fabionu, zatímco římsa je povětšinou tvar složitější a nemusí tvořit přechod mezi stropem a stěnou jako fabion.
