Czech term or phrase: Etanovi
I'm afraid I don't really have any context, except that it's biblical, although I'm wondering if it may be a name.
Unfortunately I don't have any knowledge of Czech or Slovak whatsoever, so I would be grateful if someone could help me out here. Thanks :-)

Etana
Explanation:
It is a name. As Gulser has noted, it could be the name of Ethan, one of the sons of Zerah, referred to in the Bible.

But a Google search shows that in much of the Czech language sites the word Etanovi is used in reference to some myth or epic tale (Epos o Etanovi & Mýtus o Etanovi). Whereas, there is no mention of a particular myth related to Ethan in the Bible.

In a Czech language site which lists all myths and epics tales including the Epic of Gilgamesh and the epic of "Enmerkar and the
Lord of Aratta". The "epic of Etanovi" (Epos o Etanovi) is listed together with the the epic of "Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta" as referring to "Tower of Babel".

There are other Czech language sites which lists the epic or myth of Etanovi together with the epic of Gilgamesh:
http://religionistika.net/pages/06/Epos_o_Etanovi.doc
http://www.karmelitanske-nakladatelstvi.cz/encyklopedie.php?...

All of these epics are from pre-Biblical times.

In pre-Biblical times, there was a King called Etana:

"Etana, king of Kish (flourished about 2800 BC):
Etana (early third millennium)-The first recorded deeds of a King, although not from his reign, were those of Etana. He supposedly ruled all of Sumer as well as some surrounding lands. He was called "He who stabilized all the Lands"..."
http://faculty.mdc.edu/jmcnair/joe2pages/Mesopotamia%20Kings...

"Epos o Etanovi" is the "Etana Epic":

"Etana Epic:
Ancient Mesopotamian tale concerned with the question of dynastic succession. In the beginning, according to the epic, there was no king on the earth; the gods thus set out to find one and apparently chose Etana, who proved to be an able ruler until he discovered that his wife, though pregnant, was unable to give birth, and thus he had no heir to the throne..."
http://www.britannica.com/eb/article?tocId=9033113&query=epi...

There are many sites on Etana and the "Etana Epic".

I am not sure if Ethan, the son of Zerah, is also Etana, the first king on earth. Maybe a Bible expert can comment on this.

Ethan or Etan

Explanation:
Etanovi/possessive noun
In the Old Testament there should be more information. , Ethan (איתן "Firm", Etan, the oral tradition they reflect is apparently much older, ʾĘṯān) is the cymbal/ cymbal player in king David's time.

agree  Dylan Edwards: 2:8 And the sons of Ethan; Azariah. A sinovi Etanovi: Azarija (Book of Chronicles?) - but there are probably various other Ethans in the Bible.
