Czech to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general) / Histology, gastroenterology
Czech term or phrase: proužkovitý (vs. proužkovaný)
In Czech medical report, patient has ulcerative colitis, in histology from terminal ileum:

"...proprie s lehce akcentovanou kulatobuněčnou celulizaci a lzmfocztárními agregáty, s minimálním proužkovitým jizvením..."

I wanted to find the best English translation for proužkovitý, especially in this medical context. I also wanted to ask what the difference is, if any, between "proužkovitý" and "proužkovaný". The latter is more common and means "striped". Is "proužkovitý" just a synonym or does it indicate smaller stripes or something else?

Thanks!

striped
Explanation:
this should be it...don't see a need to complicate it...it's a description just like spotted or jaundiced...

Thanks, Scott. Thanks also to Ivan's note. I changed it a little for glossary.

agree  Ivan Šimerka: Just to precise it, I would say: proužkovaný= striped, proužkovity= striped like

made of stripes / consisting of stripes

Explanation:
It seams to me that there is a small diference between those two words - "proužkovitý" is a property of the whole and "proužkovaný" would just mean having stripes on the surface
