"slosování o (ceny)" as an event, not an activity, is a prize draw. How we resolve the rest of the sentence is a different issue.

Lighthearted marketing (with a little licence): "(enter) the prize draw for your chance to win...", something more sedate: "prize draw offering great value promotions [or whatever], such as discount codes", or something very formal, bordering on Czenglish. We would need more context, though.

Since it is not certain if all the prizes are like the one exemplified, I think Czech "tombola" could be pretty close to the concept...but I doubt "raffle" would be correct here...
Again, thank you very much. Unfortunately, the only piece of information I have is that the text is an announcement in which the company informs the conference participants of an opportunity to win valuable prizes in a draw, the only example being the aforementioned 50% discount on the licence. It's a software company, the product must be pretty expensive, so 50% (and the resulting price) might be a good prize, I suppose. ;-) So...now I realize, all the prizes might be similar to that. Discount prices? Maybe...anyway, that's all I know. Thanks again!
Thanks a lot, Stuart, but I also need to translate the attributes ("valuable" and "such as...") which the author of the text considers important. Well, of course, a question arises here whether the first attribute (i.e. "valuable") is actually redundant, as virtually any prize, at least normally, should be valuable, shouldn't it? I can well reconcile with that. Yet still, I cannot simply get rid of the rest...anyway, thanks a lot for the valuable comments! Petusek
Dobrý den, myslím, že hodnocení hodnotnosti oněch cen mi nepřísluší, to je zde irelevantní. Tak to zkrátka v původním textu stojí a já s tím ztěží mohu něco udělat. Ba dokonce bych řekl, jak je vidno, že kontextu jsem zadal až příliš. Mohu se jen snažit o co možná největší věrnost.
Na co bych rád upoutal Vaši pozornost, je ona předložková vazba. Samo sebou, přívlastek "hodnotný" nevyjímaje. Konkrétně tedy:
"slosování o hodnotné ceny"
Z odpovědí zatím mi poskytnutých jsem si již vybral nějaké kandidáty. ;-) Moc děkuji jejich autorům, jakož samozřejmě i všem přispěvatelům! Děkuji!
záleží na tom, co je míněno pojmy "hodnotná cena" a "poloviční sleva". osobně bych nutnost výdaje, byť polovičního (a z jaké původní hodnoty), za hodnotnou cenu nepovažoval.
