from sentence:
maybe somebody could help me make this sound nice...don't know if it has any precedence in the Church, or if it was a one-time utterance by the late great Pope John Paul II.
thanks!
thanks very much to all......I feel fine with this choice...Joseph was the father of the Holy Family, the epitomy of the stable, protective father figure...thus this fits just fine. Good links Hannah...:) Here's one that's a little bit off the subject, but highly interesting and answered a question of mine:

Wow Ger, thanks for the insight...I don't pretend to be an expert in this field, with no formal education in Catholicism outside of my momma who's Catholic....that's why I knew I had to turn to you good folks... :)...
In that context it is probably OK. I just know that the old Pope was very keen on the rosary in all its forms and if he had come out with the phrase himself, the Josephian Rosary is almost certainly what he would have been referring to.
This is what the client sent me for explanation, who knows about this event...
St. Joseph, known as the protector of homes/houses (you are asking about any precedence in the Church); lots of ref. to that effect on the internet. That is what I based it on. Also, the word "protect" sounded appropriate to me for a plaque , which this appears to be. http://www.immaculateconceptionchurch.com/gallery/index.php?...

St. Joseph, take care of ...
Explanation: all who turn to you with trust, as you cared for Jesus and Mary.
