Danish to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Accounting / Regulatory bodies | | Danish term or phrase: Revisortilsyn | I guess the English title of this is "Audting Inspectorate" or something like that. I've checked the website but can't find any reference to the English name.
The document is a Letter of Engagement for a firm of auditors.
Thanks in advance for any help. |

| | English translation:the Danish Audit Supervisory Authority (Revisortilsynet) | Explanation: I don't think "Revisortilsynet" has an official English name, but this is another suggestion I found used on a Danish website. As it has been done here, I think it is a good idea to include the Danish name in parenthesis no matter which translation you choose.
The Danish accounting dictionary www.regnskabsordbogen.dk - which is normally a very reliable source - gives "the Danish Supervisory Authority on Auditing" as the English translation, so that could be another option but I couldn't find any examples of that being used. But again, I am not sure they have an official name in English.
The official English name of "Finanstilsynet" is "the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority" so the two mentioned suggestions would be in line with this name.

In this report they also refer to "Revisortilsynet" as "the Supervisory Authority on Auditing (Revisortilsynet)", hence the entry in Regnskabsordbogen.
