Christine, client did ask whether "bumper strip" would be OK, so you may well have it (although site looked American rather than British - there are probably different names for them. I'd never even heard of them!)

I think the problem might be solved. On www.bumper.com, it shows a car with said plastic protectors attached to a rear bumper (to avoid scuffs when pulling out from parallel parking for example). I think they're probably known as "bumper protectors" from what I can see.

and says that (and I quote): It is something that is placed on the bumper – it is usually made of hard plastic - and its function is to avoid that the bumper doesn't get scratched - as the 'bander' can be replaced. It is cheaper th–n replacing the entire bumper.
This makes no sense to me because I don't know the technical ins and outs of cars - anyone else know whether there really is a "bander" in English to go on bumpers, or should it be called something else. ASAP for opinions would be great since time's running out.

Strips and bands in English are normally 'list(er)' or 'bånd' in Danish.

It couldn't be referring to the strips down the side of the doors to prevent paint chips when opening doors next to other cars, could it? Not that I can think of what they're called....
