agree  Bente_F: Spurgte en skotsk bekendt, der har kørt Europa tyndt som selvstændig vognmand. Han siger loading bay for Storbritannien, dock er mere amerikansk end britisk engelsk

  -> Thanks! There you are - 'loading bay' was my first thougth (in UK English), but when I checked on the Internet, 'dock' seemed more frequent in this sense, while 'loading bay' seemed to have other connotations.
