Danish to English translations [PRO]
Food & Dairy / preparing frozen seafood | | Danish term or phrase: rejehår | Det skal sikres at løse **rejehår,** is og lignende ikke ophobes i anlægget, og at ”klumper” ikke udvejes i det færdige produkt.
This is part of the process of cleaning and freezing prawns for the retail and catering market.
I assume it means the legs, antennae, mouthparts etc. that have to be removed from the edible meat. Some of the products are sold ´shell-on´, but not all of them. Either way, the ´rejehår´ have to be removed before the usable parts are frozen, packed and sold.
I can't seem to find the proper designation for them - thanks for any help! |
