Thanks, Jørgen and Gitte. Yes, I know the term "donor" can be found in any decent dictionary, and yes, I know "donors" and "donations" are two different things. On the text I was translating, "donor" didn't make much sense, whereas "donations" did. That's why I got confused: Maybe in Danish you would say "donorer" but in English you would use "donations" even if that's not the correct translation? But what's a correct translation anyway? Probably I didn't provide enough info to explain my point. Thank you for your help i hvert fald.

Even the most basic DA-EN dictionary will give you this translation.

Your context talks about 'donorer', which means 'those who give'. 'Donations' is 'what they give', and would - most likely - have been 'bidrag' in the Danish text.

That's exactly what my doubt was about... Both Gitte and Dawn are completely sure (5/5) it's one and the other. Can anybody shed some light on this discussion? TPF!
