Explanation:
See the link for some English examples of the shortened "day off in lieu". For less than a day or generally, it will be "time off in lieu". The "of compensation" part is often omitted, but you might want to include it in a contract wording.
Outside contract terminology, this is known in the U.S. almost universally as a "comp day", for "compensatory day off".

Well, I should wake up before I start typing! A "købt fridag" is what can trigger receiving a day off in lieu:
"Arbejde på fridage (§ 9).
