Just something to think about. I went to a workshop some years ago run by a group of people who had various disabilities, physical and psychological. They told us that they strongly objected to being referred to as "handicapped" or "disabled" - they didn't see themselves in that way. They referred to themselves as "people with disabilities" - there's a difference. "Disabled/handicapped people" separates. Most of us have some form of disability, so "people with disabilities" is more inclusive.
