This specifically refers to VAT.

For instance, language from a statute: "Enhver afgiftspligtig person skal for levering af varer og ydelser udstede en faktura til modtageren.

Of course a simple translation of afgiftspligtig person would be a "taxable person," however what other reasonable alternatives are there out there other than "taxable person," that would sound professional as if the Folketing wrote it?

Can't really say "tax" because there's a difference between VAT (moms) and tax (skatt) of course.
