My dictionary says consolidated act???

English translation:implementing order; decree-law; consolidating regulation; consolidation act; statutory order
Explanation:
The EC uses 'consolidating regulation' for "lovbekendtgørelse" - or vice-versa.

If I understand the concept correctly, 'implementing order' better describes the nature of the beast. It is one of the translations Eurodicautom gives for "bekendtgørelse".

"Decree-law" is another. This is more literal, and in a sense perhaps more correct. But it's not a concept that means anything to most of us.

Other translations I have used, depending on the context:

"Consolidation acts" are laws that bring together previous enactments (repealing them in the process) and usually adding some new amendments - thus consolidating the law in question.

And a "statutory order" is a decree made by virtue of an Act.

Of the two responses, this was the more helpful one. I cannot use proclamation (too serious), also because after it comes the number or designation of the act itself. However, I am still not totally happy with it, as I don't know what really is involved.

Explanation:
I think I am going to go by just that, as Eurodicautom lists that for bekendtgørelse (om lov).
