  -> My Danish is terrible but I know a thing or two about molecular biology!

agree  Katja Helmich: You removed the cells from the growth flask by shaking the cells off (as Anthony suggests). Since the cells will stick slightly to the surface you will need to force them off gently after enzyme or solution treatment (ie by 'afrystning').
