Danish to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general)
Danish term or phrase: UA (in this context)
Text is a description of an operation:
"I UA udføres ..... [name of procedure] "
I was wondering whether it was the type of anaesthesia used (or am I completely wrong on this?).
Grateful for any help.

General anaesthetic/anesthetic
Explanation:
It stands for universel anæstesi = General anaesthetic/anesthetic.

Whether you want to abbreviate it to GA in English is your decision.

Not actually sure where I first found this... but it is in my own list of abbreviations. I may have got it from colleagues here! But it does not come up in a search, probably because it is too short.

-> Thanks, I would not abbreivate it either unless really pushed for space AND sure the client could understand it.
