Medical - Medical (general)
Danish term or phrase: nokset
Used twice in a case history of chromic acid poisoning treated with haemodialysis.

Anyone come across this before? Most Google results in Danish appear to be typing errors for "nok set" or "vokset".
It makes sense to translate it as "noxious substance", but that could of course be a false friend.

Noxious or harmful substance
Explanation:
I think you must be right - that was my first thought.

Klinisk Ordbog has:
noxa (lat.) nokse: skadelig faktor.

So in principle it does exist in that sense.
