I wondered about translating ´tegningen´with tracing or images, but I would tend to leave it out as superfluous in English.
You could say the blood vessels were open and normal, if that was what you were looking for - i.e. no thromboses or whatever.
More context might help, but I am not sure that it would make a difference.
