Explanation:
Depending on which level of diploma it is the name of it would be different in Britain. Degree is correct but very general. At pre-bachelor level there is an HND (Higher National Diploma), at post bachelor level, there is a diploma called post graduate diploma. I suspect that this is what is meant by the Danish term, especially if it lasts for 4-5 years (or 1 or 2 years on top of the BA).
The Abreviations should not be translated unless it is vital and then only in brachets with the original abbreviations given.
