I agree with Susanne, that the travelling part is important. "montør" can cover a lot of trades, in particular the electrical trades. One usually thinks of someone who is coming to "put something up", not a construction worker in the sense of someone actually building something. It could be someone installing an appliance, or some other object. If it was plumbing they would probably have said that, "blikkenslager". It would be pretty normal that a "montør" would be one that has to travel, so in this case, when it is actually stated, then it might be more of a specialty, like the "cable guy". |
