Art/Literary - Poetry & Literature | | Danish term or phrase: givet med | This is from a novel. The king's assistant is doing the talking and he is talking to the court painter. Sometimes when the king has gold items made the painter has to sketch the items first so the goldsmith has something to work from:

Og stemmen spidsede til og blev blid som fuglekvidder:
