given the asker\'s note, \"null values\" could still apply as this could refer to invoice lines with a \"zero value\" for products with no monetary value (samples, demos, etc.). I know this from having done invoices myself for too long.........;)

neutral  xxxjarry: I use Mr van Amerongen's work with the greatest circumspection and frankly I have never seen the term 'null values' in an accounting sense. I know it is used in database programming. Having said that I cannot offer an alternative solution.

-> I have to agree - the references on Google do seem to refer to database/software situations........is it possible this is Flemish? Hello Belgium!

neutral  Anne Lee: No, it is NOT Flemish!!!! Not appropriate here, either.

neutral  xxxjarry: Voids is a term used in space terminology and in the sense of empty (vacant) flats or other dwellings. Besides the asker wants a translation of "onwaardeN", not "onwaarde".

valueless (worthless) securities / Nonvaleurs / non-valeurs

Explanation:
Could this be related to shares / securities, i.e:

valueless (worthless) securities / Nonvaleurs / non-valeurs

e.g.

valueless (worthless) securities / Nonvaleurs / non-valeurs / titoli privi di valore
Non-performing securities which have lost all or most of their value, or which appear worthless due to specific circumstances. Such securities can, however, become attractive again at a later date, e.g. if the company is taken over or restructured.

agree  Allison Klein: I think there might be something to this - another (more formal) term is "uncollectable debts" or "receivables"

cancelled debts/receivables

Explanation:
after doing some more searching and thinking, I'm wondering if this has to do with debts or receivables that have been either cancelled or written off.
Just a thought........
