Dutch term or phrase: op nul boeken
From a user manual on accounting software. Please see the section between the asterisks.
"Als u de beginbalans van uw nieuwe boekjaar wilt wijzigen zonder dat u de eind balans van uw oude boekjaar wilt aanpassen (bijvoorbeeld **omdat u uw BTW-rekeningen in uw nieuwe boekjaar op nul wilt boeken**), kunt u in het nieuwe boekjaar in een nieuwe dagboekbladzijde een memoriaalboeking aanmaken en verwerken in periode 0."

Can someone explain 'op nul boeken' to me? TIA.

Explanation:
I don't know the correct term, but as my husband just told me: "Op nul boeken simply means to correct the booking from the previous year, so that the starting balance of the new year is 0."
