I think I'll leave out the 'disease' before 'awareness campaigns', because it's not there in the original. So this'll be it: '...but inevitably comes into contact with due to the industry's information campaigns – also called awareness or disease information campaigns'.
Het is daarom enigszins verbazingwekkend dat dat 'gepushed' zou moeten worden. Maar misschien is het idee meer dat de farmamarkt ziektebeelden als kapstokken gebruikt om producten te pushen...
In this one "clinical picture" probably goes. I've seen the term in the dictionary, but it is completely new for me so I'd rather double-check the dictionary's info.

IMHO, both would be OK here. To my mind, the colon suggests a logical "sequel" to the preceding part. A semicolon would lack that kind of suggestion and serve to start a related "sub-sentence" that does not necessarily follow the first part in a logical way. I would prefer the colon here.
PS: In the source, by the way, 'awareness campaigns' and 'ziektebeeldinformatie' seem to be synonymous.
I'm leaning more towards something along the lines of symptom awareness: they're trying to provide information that make people aware that they fit the profile for a sick person, that they might have a specific disease (or 'disease' depending on how you look at it).
By the way, in the above sentence, should the colon be a semicolon? That keeps bugging me and I don't really know where to ask it. Even searching on the Internet I get confused. It seems there's a gray area.

I'd say they use awareness campaigns to present clinical pictures...
